Overview

Cisco Duo is a security-first identity and access management platform trusted by enterprises worldwide. It provides cloud-based access security, protecting applications and data through strong authentication and device trust.

With Duo identity verification powered by Persona, you can seamlessly embed high-assurance identity verification directly within the Duo admin console. Duo identity verification helps stop compromised support interactions and prevent fraudulent employee enrollments, enabling your organization to defend against social engineering attacks.

Organizations can:

• Trigger identity verification from within the Duo admin console during helpdesk support interactions
• Enable secure remote employee onboarding with government ID and selfie verification

This integration helps IT and security teams defend against social engineering attacks at their most vulnerable moments — helpdesk interactions, employee onboarding, and account recovery — while maintaining operational efficiency and delivering a seamless employee experience.

Setting up the integration

You’ll need your Persona API Key and your Inquiry Template ID.

• Your Persona API key can be found at API > API Keys. Ensure you’re copying your Production API key.
• Your Inquiry Template ID can be found in the ID column in the Inquiry > Templates page of the Persona Dashboard. It starts with itmpl_ and should be named “Duo Identity Verification”
