# Inquiries: Government ID Verification module

## What is the Inquiry Government ID Verification module?

The **Government ID Verification** module adds pre-built government-issued ID collection and verification screens to your Inquiry flow. It walks the end user through selecting their country and ID type, capturing the front and back of their ID, and runs visual verification checks on the submitted document.

## How do you add an Inquiry Government ID Verification module?

1.  Navigate to the Dashboard, and click on **Inquiries > Templates**.
2.  Find and click on the Inquiry template you want to edit, or **Create** a new template.
3.  In the Flow Editor, click the **"+"** sign in the flow where you want to add a module.

4.  Select **Module** from the list of options.
5.  Choose **Government ID Verification** and then click **Insert**.

6.  The module adds the following to your flow:
    - A start screen with configurable instructions
    - A country select screen where the end user selects the country their ID is from
    - An ID type select screen where the end user selects their ID type (Driver's License, Passport, or National ID)
    - A front capture screen
    - A back capture screen (required for some countries and ID types)
    - A Government ID Verification step
    - A pass/retry/fail branching step: By default, users are allowed 3 attempts before the verification fails

    After inserting the module, you can configure which countries and ID types are accepted, adjust the retry count in the branching condition, and customize screen copy. ## Module placement

Not all locations in the flow support modules. If the **Module** option is grayed out when you click **"+"**, hover over it to see why it can't be inserted there.
