Overview
We offer an integration with Mastercard Identity (also known as Ekata) for customers seeking deeper insights into their end users' identities. A leader in global identity data and insights, Mastercard Identity helps companies combat fraud, enhance conversions, and reduce friction.
With Mastercard Identity, companies can access low-friction signals - based on name, phone, address, email, and/or IP address - enabling them to identify risky users before requiring additional verification through Persona.
Benefits (by Industry)
While there a variety of ways in which a business can leverage this integration, below are example use cases and benefits that businesses operating in the fintech or e-commerce space may find valuable.
Fintech
- A fintech company issuing cards need to onboard many new users. However, excessive friction during verification can result in customer drop-off. Using our joint solution, a company can apply step-up verification when necessary - providing low-risk users with a seamless verification and prompting higher-risk users to provide additional information.
E-commerce
- An e-commerce marketplace facilitates transactions between third-party sellers and buyers. While reducing friction is important for sellers, preventing counterfeit goods is a priority. By leveraging our solution, the platform ensures legitimate sellers enjoy a smooth onboarding, while potential fraudsters are flagged early for further scrutiny.
Integration Features
The Mastercard Identity integration provides three types of scores:
- Identity Risk Scores: These scores validate who the customer is and how their information is being used in digital interactions. The scores range from 0-500
- Network Scores: These scores assess how identity information is being used in digital interactions. The score(s) range from 0 to 1.
- IP Risk Score: These scores predict the riskiness of an IP address using IP metadata and information on how the IP is being used in digital interactions. The score(s) range from 0 to 1.
Account Opening API
