# Zenkit integration overview

## Overview

[Zenkit](https://zenkit.com/) is a collaboration and project-management platform that organizes work in workspaces, collections, and entries. Persona’s Zenkit integration lets you discover workspaces, collections, and fields, and create or update entries from a Workflow.

## Integration features

The Zenkit integration supports these Workflow actions:

- **List workspaces:** Retrieve accessible workspaces and their collections.
- **List collections:** Retrieve collections across accessible workspaces.
- **List fields:** Retrieve the fields in a collection.
- **List entries:** Retrieve entries in a collection.
- **Create entry:** Create an entry in a collection.
- **Update entry:** Replace, append, or remove entry field values.
- **Update entry field:** Update one field on an entry.

## Prerequisites

Before configuring the integration, you need:

- A Zenkit account.
- A Zenkit API key.
- Access to the workspaces and collections you want to use.

## Set up Zenkit credentials

1. In Zenkit, open your profile and generate an API key under **Integrations > API Key**.
2. In the Persona Dashboard, go to **Integrations > Marketplace** and select **Zenkit**.
3. Select **Add Credential** and enter a nickname and the API key.
4. Save the credential.

Zenkit sends the API key as the raw value of the `Zenkit-API-Key` header, without a `Bearer` prefix. Generating a new key invalidates the previous key.

## Use Zenkit in a workflow

1. Create a workflow or open the workflow you want to update.
2. Add an **Action** step and select **Integrations**.
3. Select **Zenkit**, choose the saved credential, and select an action.
4. Map Persona data to the action inputs.
5. Save and publish the workflow.

## Zenkit actions

### Discover workspaces, collections, and fields

List workspaces to retrieve workspaces with their collections, or list collections to retrieve a flat list of accessible collections. Use a collection’s ID, short ID, or UUID as supported by the action. List fields to find each field’s ID, UUID, type, and the data-key suffix required to set its value.

### List entries

List entries with a collection’s short ID. You can provide a filter, limit, offset, and whether to include deprecated entries.

### Create entry

Create an entry in a collection using the collection’s numeric ID.

**Required field:**

- **List ID:** The numeric ID of the Zenkit collection.

**Entry values:**

- Set entry fields using property names built from the field UUID, an underscore, and the field’s data key. For example, use `{field UUID}_text` for a text field.

### Update an entry or field

Use a collection’s numeric ID and an Entry ID to update an entry. Choose **replace**, **append**, or **remove** when updating an entry. To update a single field, also provide that field’s numeric Field ID.
