Chainalysis integration overview

Overview

For customers in the crypto or Web3 who want assess the risk of their users, Persona offers an integration with Chainalysis, the blockchain data platform.

Chainalysis Address Screening Report

The Chainalysis integration enables you to retrieve a risk assessment given a end-user’s Crypto Address which can be as a conditional within a workflow.

Risk assessments come as either Severe, High, Medium, or Low scores. For more details about how Chainalysis determines risk, go here.

Chainalysis Know Your Transaction (KYT)

With the Know Your Transactions (KYT) integration powered by Chainalysis, organizations can now streamline crypto monitoring and investigations directly within the Persona platform. Crypto transfers can be registered in Chainalysis, and alerts triggered in Chainalysis can automatically generate Cases in Persona.

Prerequisites

To use this integration, you must have a Chainalysis instance. If you do not have one, reach out to your account team for assistance with getting setup with one.

Setting up the Chainalysis credentials

  1. Go to the Chainalysis marketplace dashboard page
  2. Click on Add API key in the top of the page
  3. Enter the Chainalysis credential information in the modal

Using the Chainalysis integration

Chainalysis Address Screening Report

  1. Create a new workflow, or open an existing workflow you’d like to update
  2. Add a new action step
  3. Search for the “Run Chainalysis Address Screening Report” workflow step
  4. Select the report template with the Chainalysis credentials you want to use
  5. Configure the input fields to pass in the correct information
  6. Save/publish the workflow

Chainalysis Know Your Transaction (KYT)

  1. Create a new workflow, or open an existing workflow you’d like to update
  2. Add a new action step
  3. Search for the desired workflow step related to Know Your Transaction (KYT). Available steps include:
    • Register Transfer – Registers a cryptocurrency transfer in Chainalysis system to begin compliance monitoring
    • Get Transfer Summary – Retrieves details of a registered transfer
    • Get All Alerts – Retrieves all alerts information within your organization. By default, only transfer alerts will be returned
    • Update An Alert’s Status – Updates the status of a specific alert and optionally adds a comment
  4. Configure the input fields for the step to pass in the correct information
  5. Save/publish the workflow
