# Accounts: Tags module

## What is the Tags module?

The **Tags module** is a prebuilt module that can be added to an Account layout. It shows the tags on the Account and lets your team add or remove them. You can define logic that governs when the module appears and when editing is enabled.

The module has the heading **Tags**, with a count of the Account's tags next to it. Each tag is shown as a sticker.

## How do you add a Tags module?

This module is added and arranged on the Layout page. For a general overview of how the Layout page works, see [Accounts: Layout Editor](https://help.withpersona.com/articles/geCwuVZ8Akv6t0WOyEpeUa/).

1. Navigate to the Dashboard, and click on **Accounts > Types**.
2. Find and click on the Account Type you want to edit, or click **Create type** to create a new one.
3. In the Layout Editor, navigate to the **Tab** you want to add the module to. Click an empty space to view the **Module Library**.
4. In the right toolbar, search for ‘**Tags**.’ The module is listed under **Account Management**.
5. Drag and drop the **Tags module** into your layout and reposition it by dragging it around.
6. Click on the **Tags module**. The Tags module has no settings of its own, so its title and contents cannot be changed. Under **Module Layout**, you can change:
   1. Dynamic height: Module will grow or shrink to fit its contents. This is on by default.
   2. Visibility: Dynamically control whether the module is hidden. This lets you set conditions for when the module should be displayed or hidden from view based on your requirements.    3. Enablement: Dynamically control whether tags can be edited from the module. Set conditions with **Enable if**. When the conditions are not met, the module still shows the Account's tags, but its **Edit** and **Add tag** buttons are disabled. Enablement conditions are not applied in the Layout Editor, so the buttons stay enabled while you build the layout.
7. Click the **Delete** button if you want to remove the module from the layout.

## How do you use the Tags module on an Account?

- **Add tags to an Account with no tags.** Click **Add tag**, choose one or more tags in the **Tags** field, and click **Update**.
- **Change an Account's tags.** Click **Edit** in the module heading. In the **Update tags** window, add or remove tags in the **Tags** field and click **Update**.

Updating tags requires permission to write to Accounts. Without it, the module still shows the Account's tags, but the **Edit** and **Add tag** buttons are disabled. The buttons are also disabled when the Account page is read-only.
