How to Use Business Adverse Media Report Template Editor

This help center article will help you learn how to easily configure your Business Adverse Media Report list source settings. For more information on how to use the Reports Template Editor overall, please see this help center article.

To access your Business Adverse Media Report configurations, start by navigating to the Business Adverse Media Report Template Editor (BAMRTE) specifically. You can do this by hovering over the Reports section of your Dashboard, selecting templates, and clicking on the Watchlist template. You have now landed on BAMRTE.

Configuration Summary

When you click on the configuration tab, you will see multiple fields that are editable.

• Template name - this is the name of the template. You can change it from a standard name, to whatever makes most sense to your organization. You can do this simply by typing into the box with the name, and then selecting “Save Report Template” in the upper right hand corner.

  

• Categories - these are organized into different category groups that are being used to check for matches in this template. What you are looking at when you land on the configuration page is simply your current settings.

  • We classify the types of unfavorable media into distinct categories:
    • Financial Action Task Force (FATF)
    • EU Anti-Money Laundering Directive (EU AML)
    • Anti-Money Laundering / Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT)
    • All
  • The categories are designed in such a way that allows you to focus only on specific risk categories. For example, you can specify only designated offenses under the FATF guidelines. You can choose to include additional risks listed by the EU AML Directive, AML/CFT, or all.

• Article-level filtering - you can add further filtering by the country of article source.

Continuous Monitoring

When you click on the Continuous monitoring tab, you will see your current continuous monitoring settings, and the cadence that the continuous monitoring is set to. If you’d like to update your continuous monitoring settings, please contact Persona for assistance, as this is currently a view only feature.

Name Match Requirements

Depending on your organization’s use case or needs, you may require either very strict or very liberal matching parameters.

Persona’s customization process is granular and detailed in order to allow our customers more control over what matches they receive, and how often they receive them (false positives).

Name matching has four options:

Exact: matches on exact name and AKAs in article or source.

Strict (Recommended): matches on exact name, allowing for subset name matching and initial matching.

Tolerant: allows for flexible matching inclusive of all settings. Allows room for typos.

Custom: set your own custom match profile.
