Translations / Localizations

Overview

Persona supports translations and localization for Inquiry flows, so end users can complete their Verification in their preferred language. You can use Persona's default translations out of the box, or customize them in the Flow Editor to match your preferred tone, style, or any changes to your default screen text.

Languages

Persona supports 35+ languages, including Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Dutch, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish (Mexico), and Vietnamese.

Additional languages are available. Contact your customer success manager for the full list.

Behavior

When an end user opens the flow, Persona sets the language of the flow to the user's default:

  • If a user opens the flow on a web browser, Persona sets the language to the default browser language.
  • If a user opens the flow on a mobile app, Persona sets the language to the default mobile device language.

The user can optionally change the language via a select component in the flow.

Translations

Persona provides default translations for all default text in each Inquiry step.

Where do you find translations?

  1. Navigate to Inquiries > Templates from the left nav.
  2. Select an Inquiry template and open it in the Flow Editor.
  3. Select a screen step, then choose Edit translations from the right-hand menu.

Editing translations

Common reasons to edit a translation:

  • Tone and style: Adjust a default translation to match your preferred voice in a given language.
  • Edited default text: If you change the default text on a screen, update the translations to apply that change across all languages.
