Accounts: Related Cases Module

Overview

The Related Cases module surfaces other cases that involve the same people or businesses. Two cases are “related” if they share at least one account (the same person or business) and exist in the same environment. Duplicates are removed and if no related cases are identified the module show nothing.

Condensed case

The module lists the following set of information from each related case:

  • The case ID and name
  • The case’s current status
  • Which case template it came from
  • When it was created, and with it was resolved (if it has been)
  1. Navigate to the Dashboard, and click on Accounts > Type.

  2. Find and click on the Case template you want to edit, or Create a new type.

  3. Navigate to the Tab you want to add the module to. Click an empty space to view the Component Library.

  4. In the right panel search for ‘Related**.**’

  5. Drag and drop the Related Cases module into your layout and reposition it by dragging it around.

  6. On the right toolbar, you can change the settings:

    1. Under Module Layout, you can change:
      1. Dynamic height: Module will grow or shrink to fit its contents.

      2. Visibility: Dynamically control whether the module is hidden. This is a toggle button that lets you set conditions for when the button should be displayed or hidden from view based on your requirements. You can read more about Accounts: Visibility Configuration here.

  7. Click the “Delete” button if you want to remove the module from the Case UI**.**
