Verification exports

Overview

Verification records come out of the Dashboard as .csv files, one per Verification type. Each file carries that Verification’s checks and results, so a failed check is visible in the export and not just in the Dashboard.

Reach for it when you need Verification records at the level of the individual Verification: reconciling results, feeding a warehouse, or answering an audit. Verification Analytics has its own downloads, including the Verification Volume Export and the Verification Checks Export, which are the ones to use when you want the rows behind a particular analytics view. To pull Verifications programmatically, see the developer docs.

Where to find it in the Dashboard

Open the Inquiries view, filter it to the Inquiries whose Verifications you want, then click Export in the upper right corner. The Verification files come back alongside the Inquiry files.

The Verification Analytics pages export separately. The Verification Volume Export and the Verification Checks Export each download from their own page, so use those when you want what that page is showing.

Finished exports are listed in the Exports view, with who created each one, when it completed, and which type it was. Reach it from the email Persona sends when your file is ready, or from the Platform heading in the Dashboard navbar. An Admin can add Exports to a role’s navbar through its navbar configurations.

Who can export Verifications

For the Verification files that come back with an Inquiries export, the permission to check is Export Inquiries.

Admins grant or remove export permissions per role using roles and permissions.

What the files contain

An export from the Inquiries view returns one Inquiry file, plus one file for each type of Verification that is part of your Inquiry. A flow that runs Government ID Verification and Selfie Verification produces three files: the Inquiry file, a Government ID file, and a Selfie file.

Every Verification file includes that Verification’s checks and results, plus all the other fields you see for it in the Dashboard. Since there is more than one file, they come bundled together as a single tar.gz or ZIP archive. On Windows, pick ZIP, which the operating system opens natively.

Filter first, and treat the files as PII

  • An unfiltered export is every Inquiry from all time, and therefore every Verification attached to them. Filter the view before you export, or the archive gets very large.
  • The download contains PII. Every export from the Persona Dashboard does, and Verification files carry the identity data and check results behind a decision. Store and share them the way your organization handles personal data.
