Overview
An Inquiry export hands you the Inquiries view as .csv files. It does not arrive as one table: you get one Inquiry file plus one file for each type of Verification in your Inquiry, so the shape of your flow shows up in the file list.
Reach for it when Inquiry records have to leave the Dashboard, for a spreadsheet, a warehouse load, or an audit request. For the per-Inquiry rows behind the Inquiries Overview analytics charts, use the Inquiry Overview Export instead. To pull Inquiries programmatically, see the developer docs.
Where to find it in the Dashboard
Open the Inquiries view, filter it to the Inquiries you want, then click Export in the upper right corner.
Finished exports land in the Exports view, alongside who created each one, when it completed, and which type it was. You get there from the email Persona sends when your file is ready, or from the Dashboard navbar under the Platform heading. If Exports is not in your navbar, an Admin can add it through the role’s navbar configurations.
Who can export Inquiries
Exporting requires the Export Inquiries permission on your role, which is granted separately from the permissions to view or decision an Inquiry. Admins can grant or remove it per role using roles and permissions.
What the files contain
You receive one Inquiry file, plus one file per Verification type that is part of your Inquiry, all in .csv format. If your flow runs Government ID Verification and Selfie Verification, that is three files: the Inquiry file, a Government ID file, and a Selfie file.
Each Verification file carries that Verification’s checks and results, along with every other field you see for it in the Dashboard. Because an export usually holds several files, they arrive bundled into a single tar.gz or ZIP archive. Choose ZIP if you are on Windows, which opens it natively.
If you want Inquiries next to the rest of an individual’s record, export from the Accounts view instead. That returns up to four files, one each for Accounts, Inquiries, Reports, and Documents, and every file repeats the shared Account ID, Inquiry ID, and relevant Report or Document ID, so you can line them back up.
Filter first, and treat the files as PII
- An unfiltered export is every Inquiry from all time. The archive can get very large, and a flow with several Verification types multiplies it by one file per type. Filter the view first, then export.
- The download contains PII. Every export from the Persona Dashboard does, and a Verification file holds some of the most sensitive data in the platform. Handle it accordingly.
