Fraud Fight Flow Overview

Fraud Fight Flow is a fully Persona-managed inquiry flow where we evaluate risk of fraud on your behalf, tailoring our latest fraud tools and learning towards the specific fraud vector(s) that you’re seeing at a point in time. As fraudsters continue to change their approach, Fraud Fight Flow will automatically update with new verifications and other defensive layers, so that we can mitigate fraud-related revenue loss as quickly as possible.

This flow exists separately from your current identity verification flows, and will simply return a “true/false” fraud result.

Where to apply it

  • Before flow: Only verify pre-qualified users to dramatically reduce time spent on manual reviews.
  • In between flows: Maintain KYC compliance with a complete record of each new users
  • End of flow: Escalate your highest fraud risks to Fraud Fight Flow for evaluation

Sample of activities

Fraud Fight Flow will automatically apply our suitable verifications and signals to evaluate the risk of fraud. Examples include:

  • New verifications: As an example, we may apply Silent Network Authentication for suspected mobile device farms. This verification type typically requires you to have integrated Persona’s Mobile SDK and have added usage of mobile numbers for fraud evaluation into your privacy policy.
  • New signals: As another example, we may want to collect Precise GPS coordinates using mobile hardware, instead of relying on an IP-based geolocation that may be spoofed. This typically requires you to add additional user consent language to your user-facing prompts.

In both instances, we’ll be able to step users up to new additional verifications and add any required consent languages to compliantly use data on your behalf, so that we can rapidly iterate on defenses as fraudster approaches evolve.

  1. What happens to my current inquiry flows? Your current inquiry flows can stay in place, unless you want Persona to fully manage your identity verification processes.
  2. Can I customize branding? During Early Access phase, Fraud Fight Flow branding options are not configurable.
