Overview
A Case Template does not create Cases by itself. Something upstream creates the Case, and your reviewers then act on it with the actions the Case Template exposes. Platform Connections lists both halves of that for one template, so you can see who sends work to a review team and what that team can do when it arrives.
The Case Actions section
Case Templates are the only surface in Connections with a Case Actions section. On the Creates tab it shows whether the Case Template you are viewing triggers any Case Actions.
Case Actions come in two kinds: Workflow Actions your team builds and publishes, and System Actions that Persona ships, such as Update SLA and Redact. Either kind only reaches a reviewer once it has been added to a Case Template’s Actions configuration, which is why this section is a useful check on a template you did not configure yourself.
What a Case Template creates
Case Templates do not get a Direct connections section on the Creates tab, because that section appears only for Workflows and Inquiry Templates. What you see instead is the Workflows section, listing the Workflows the Case Template triggers, and Downstream connections, listing the objects those Workflows can go on to create.
What creates the Case
The Created By tab holds Direct connections: the upstream templates and Workflows that can create a Case from the template you are viewing. A Workflow reaches a Case Template through the Create Case step, which names the template the new Case is based on, so this tab is where you find the automation that routes work to the team using this template.
There is no draft to reconcile
Connections is available for the latest published version of a template. Case Templates do not support version management, so there is no draft version whose connections could differ from the live one: a saved edit applies to new Cases at once, and Cases created earlier keep the template as it was. See Case Templates and Change Management before you change a template that is already in use.
For the two tabs, the filters on each section, and how to open the page from any template or type, see Platform Connections.
