How do I display the maximum allowable size of documents that users can upload?
Answer
You can show users the maximum file size by adding instructional text to your Inquiry Template. The default upload limit is 32 MB, but templates with an explicitly configured upload limit retain that configured value. Display the limit configured for your template so users know what to expect before they reach a document upload step.
- in the Dashboard, go to Inquiries > Templates and select the Template you want to edit.
- In the Flow Editor, either:
- Click on the document upload screen’s
Editbutton, to add text directly before the upload step. - Click the
+icon that appears before the document upload screen, to add a new screen dedicated specifically towards this instruction.
- Click on the document upload screen’s
- If editing existing text, click on the text and add instruction such as “The maximum file size you can upload is 32 MB by default. Your template may have an explicitly configured upload limit.”
- If adding new text, click on Component Library, and drag-and-drop a Text component onto your screen. Edit its contents to state the limit configured for your template. New templates without an explicitly configured limit default to 32 MB.
- Edit translations if necessary to update all translated versions of your text.
- Click Save to save changes.
On the Enterprise Plan, contact support if you need to change the maximum file size limit for Inquiry document uploads.
