Overview

Credential versions let you prepare updated credentials for a Marketplace integration without immediately changing the version that the integration uses. Create and test a draft version before you make it active.

This article applies when the Credential Versions section is available for the credential you are updating. For information about adding a credential or testing an integration, see Using Marketplace integrations.

Create a credential version

  1. In the Dashboard, go to Integrations > Credentials.
  2. Select the credential you want to update.
  3. Next to Credential Versions, select + Add version.
  4. Enter the new API key, then create the version.

The new version is saved as a draft. The credential continues to use its current version until you activate a different one.

Test a credential version

You can test a draft version before activating it.

  1. In Credential Versions, hover over the version you want to test. The Test button appears only while you hover over the version.
  2. Select Test.
  3. In the testing panel, select an operation and enter the required inputs.
  4. Run the test and review the response.

The test uses the version you selected. Test requests create Integration Logs, where you can review the operation, status code, and response body.

Activate a credential version

When you are ready to use a draft version, make it the active version.

  1. In Credential Versions, select the … (more options) button next to the version.
  2. Select Set as Active.

The credential then uses that version for subsequent integration requests. The active badge in Credential Versions identifies the version currently in use.

You can activate another saved version later if you need to change the version in use.

Delete a credential version

To remove a version you no longer need, select the … (more options) button next to the version, then select Delete. You cannot delete the active version. Activate another version first if you need to remove the version that is currently in use.

Troubleshoot credential versions

If a test fails, open the related Integration Log and review its status code and response body. Failures can result from expired or invalid third-party credentials, incorrect request inputs, or third-party configuration changes.
