This guide is for individuals using Persona Wallet, also known as Reusable Personas. That covers the wallet you save during a verification and reuse the next time a business asks you to verify, and the Persona Wallet app from the App Store or Google Play. Whether a wallet can be used, and what else is required, is decided by the business, service, or organization that asked you to verify, and they can assist with your specific situation, if you’re having trouble.
What does the Persona Wallet app do?
- It completes verifications on your phone. Some businesses ask you to verify in an app. On Android, and on some older iPhones, you may be asked to install the Persona Wallet app to finish. You don’t need an account for this. See I was asked to download the Persona Wallet app.
- It manages an existing Persona Wallet. If you created a Persona Wallet before, you can use the app to view or delete it.
Do I need the app to use Verify with Persona?
No. Verify with Persona is part of the business’s own verification flow, so you don’t need to install anything. The app doesn’t control or store anything for Verify with Persona. To opt out or delete your verification history, see What is Verify with Persona?
I finished something in the app, but the business says I haven’t verified.
Adding information to your wallet in the app isn’t the same as completing the business’s verification. Go back to the link or QR code the business gave you and finish that flow.
