Can someone else see my verification results?

The business that asked you to verify sees your result. Nobody else does.

This guide is for individuals going through a Persona-powered identity verification flow. While we’ve included helpful tips, the verification was set up by the business, service, or organization that asked you to verify. They use Persona as a tool, and they ultimately decide what’s required and can assist with your specific situation, if you’re having trouble.

The business that asked you to verify

Your verification was started by one specific business, service, or organization, and that business is the one that can see the result. That is the whole point of it: they asked for a reliable answer about your identity so they could decide on your application, account, or access, and the answer goes back to them.

If you are wondering who “they” is, it is whoever sent you the link. Persona built the verification technology they used, and the result is theirs.

Can anyone else see it?

No. Persona does not publish your result, and no other business is shown your verification. It is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone for marketing. It stays with the business that asked for it, protected the same way your documents are. See can I trust Persona with my ID? for how your information is handled.

Which people at that business see it

That is up to the business that asked you to verify. Their own roles and permissions decide who can view a result, so not everyone there sees every verification. Typically it is the people who handle your application or your support request.

What if a relative or partner should see it?

Your result is tied to you and not to anyone else. If you want someone else to be able to see or act on it, ask the business that asked you to verify. They set up the verification, so they are the ones who can say what is possible.
