Step away, but not forever
A verification request is usually valid for a window of time, from minutes to days depending on the business. Within that window you can often close the flow and return later through the same link, though whether that works depends on how the business set it up.
What is saved
Anything you already submitted, like a document photo or a completed step, may or may not persist. Some flows save progress, others start over. Treat a reopened flow as possibly starting fresh.
If your link stops working
